12. Star -SaZr-

"Starlight, star bright… First star I see tonight. I wish I may… I wish I might… get the wish… I wish tonight." Zim closed his eyes and a soft breeze passed over him. Skoodge watched as the smaller Irken's wig was a bit tussled, showing his antennae.

"What did you wish for?" Skoodge wasn't so sure he'd even want to know what went through his friend's brain, but after Zim broke the silence with a poem… he had to wonder.

The other just chuckled. "Humans are so stupid, thinking they can just look at a faraway sun and ask it for something." He opened his eyes and tugged on Gir's short leash. "Let's go home."

Skoodge slowly walked alongside Zim towards their house, his eyes more obviously pointed at Zim with the contacts in.  "Yeah, but did you think of something?"
Zim kept a straight face and continued walking.

"Zim?"

"Hm?"

"Did you think of something to wish for?" He insisted.

Zim gave a heavy, irritable sigh. "Maybe." Skoodge looked away from him, staring at the ground silently. "You… aren't supposed to say what you wish. Then it won't come true."

Skoodge looked back up at the stars. "Oh. I guess that makes sense."

Zim laughed and lightly shoved the other alien with his free hand. "No it doesn't! Humans are so stupid!"

"So what did you wish for then?"

"…… Just because it's stupid, doesn't mean I'm going to tell you."

Gir screeched and ran around Zim, his master spinning in response, used to the Sir's antics.

Skoodge smiled. "You know what I'd wish for?"

"You aren't supposed to say!"

"R-right. Yeah." He looked forward.

What would he wish for?

He'd wish that he and Zim could stay on Earth and take walks and complain about humans forever. It was… a perfect wish.
